It was a great day for the McGhees today at Pymble Ladies College. I'm holding Bandaged Bear prizes for the following members. I'll give them to you when I next see you, hopefully at next Wed SSS.
- Abigail McGhee 1st W12A
- Clyde McGhee 1st M14A
- David McGhee 1st M45AS
- Richard Morris 1st M45A
- Steve Flick 2nd M70A
- Anthony Flick 2nd M40A
Anthony is back from England on holidays. It was great catching up with him again.
Gordon Wilson was also 2nd in M65A but he was there to collect his prize.
I was really impressed with these members who went in their 1st State League or 1st for a long time and performed really well on a really technical map. No looking at the map beforehand.
Abby McGhee looks like she is taking after her talented brother.
Richard Morris a perennial winner in Vet Men at Summer Series but how would he go in such a hot field of experienced bush orienteers, 1st in M45A.
Simon Nash 4th in M50A only 11 seconds off the podium.
Well done all of you.
Today they also had the presentation for the Metro League. I'm holding medals for the following members.
- Clyde McGhee Top point-scorer in Div 3
- Bob Morgan Top point-scorer in Div 4
-
Premiers in Div 4
- Bob Morgan
- Julian Ledger
- Simon Nash
- Kerry Hooppell
Terry and Cheryl Bluett, Tshinta Hopper and Sharon Lambert already have their medals. Again I will hand them out when i next see you.
Regards,
Terry Bluett
