MetrO League Finals this weekend

Time to pull out the compass and running shoes, because this Sunday is the MetrO League final! Bennelong Northside have made it into the top 2 teams in all of our divisions, which means the winning teams on Sunday will will the series! Unfortunately the young guns the Halmy's due to a conflict with the Australian Junior Athletics Championships in Tasmania (good luck Adam and Bethany!!!). Filling the holes, Marina and Fedor are back from their stint in Europe and will be sure to have their SI sticks in melt-down as they zoom around the course!

Sydney Summer Series #2 - Forestville

Street Orienteering. 45 min score course in standard Sydney Summer Series fashion.

Starts from 16:30 to 18:45. Course closure at 7:30. If starting late it is advisable to take a headlamp or plan your course to finish on the streets (instead of the bush tracks).

Map: "Natural Bridge" map has been completely renewed to take in the tracks and trails of the 24-hectare Forestville Park and adjoining Garingal NP.

Club Equipment Working Bee

We will be having a club working be at our storage cage in Epping this Saturday (10th August) from 10am. If you can come along and help out it would be much appreciated. The plan is to spend a couple of hours fixing control stands, strings on control flags, throwing away some old/damaged or obsoleted equipment and doing a general cleanup. We will also we collecting some control punches to donate to the newly formed Northern Rivers Orienteering Club up on the NSW North Coast. Afterwards we will be heading to a local restaurant for lunch.

If you can spare a couple of hours on the day please send Terry an email.
