Hi all,

Change of seasons now, the Australian Championships in Queensland have just finished and Sydney Summer series is about to begin.

To fill you in on the Aus champs, the undoubted  Bennelong star was Gordon Wilson in M65A. Gordon had a 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th in the 4 Championship events. Gordon was in the winning M65 relay team, 2nd in the middle distance, 3rd in the long distance and 4th in the sprint.

Eric Morris was in the winning NSW M45  team in the relay.

Steve Flick was 2nd in M65A in the long.

Terry Bluett was 2nd in M70A in the long.

Special mention should also go to Clyde McGhee who was in the NSW schools team, our first schools rep we've had for some time. Clyde's best results were 8th out of 32 in the Sprint and 4th in a NSW team in the Relays.

Wednesday sees the start of the Sydney Summer Series, I hope to see you there. The assembly area is the Scout hall in Munro St, McMahons Point. Parking is almost non-existent in the area so public transport is recommended, it is within walking distance from North Sydney station.

Our first event is on 19th Oct at North Harbour Reserve, Balgowlah.

regards,

Terry Bluett
